Morris in the parking lot of the Perani Arena before riding in the 11th annual Bikin' for Burns fundraiser. The newlyweds and other bikers will ride 42 miles to Shriner's Circus Park in Vienna Township driving along Lapeer, Irish, Richfield, Genesee, Mt. Morris, Clio, Dodge, Jennings and Wilson Roads. The area event is sponsored by American Bikers Aiming Toward Education (ABATE) of Michigan Region 20 as they seek to promote motorcycle safety while raise funds for fire prevention. This year's recipients will be the Swartz Creek and Durand Fire Departments.

  • Sandra Ruesink shows some examples of pop-up books. ..Ruesink, a fieldwork coordinator/instructor at Mount Mary college, has been making pop-up books for over 15 years. She finds that they are a great way for kids of all ages to demonstrate what they have learned also a way for kids to read non-fiction and follow directions.
