  • Matt Dixon | The Flint Journal..Daisy, a boxer who was found in an empty field after being tied to a tree, lies on a couch in her new home in Flushing after being rescued almost three weeks ago. Daisy has been through three surgeries for her back legs, one of which is still bandaged up. Although she eats four cans of dog food a day, she is struggling to gain more weight.

Witnesses said the man was drunk, took off his shoes, shirt and hat, climbed over the railing near the children's playground and jumped or fell in. Divers recovered his body after searching for sometime.

  • Rescue workers load a patient into an ambulance at the scene of a fatal car accident involving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala and a cattle truck Wednesday on U.S. Highway 34 west of S. Blaine Street in Grand Island. According to police, the Impala had been traveling east on Highway 34 when the vehicle's tires dropped off the edge of the road. Motola-Palacio who had about 100 chickens in his SUV. About 44 chickens died. Daisy was rescued several weeks ago by the Schapp family of Flushing after she was found in an empty field, tied to a tree. She has undergone several surgeries for her hind legs and is slowly recovering. She is believed to be about 9-months to a year old.
