  • Zombies roam the grounds during an Enchanted Halloween Trail event Friday evening at Crane Trust Nature & Vistor Center near Alda. The family friendly outdoor event featured costumed performers dressed as animals, a campfire, and candy. The enchanted trail will be held on Saturday from 2 p.m.  to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 per person with children 3 and under admitted free. (Independent/Matt Dixon)

The Westlawn Elementary students decided while playing that they should raise money for a good cause. "By one get one free" sang the children as cars drove past.
