Students protest Marquette University's decision to rescinded an offer for the position of dean of the Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences to Seattle University professor Jodi O'Brien, an open lesbian. While Marquette University sated the decision to rescind the offer was not based on O'brien's sexuality, many viewed it as a violation to both Marquette's statement of mission and identity as well as its LGBT community.
