Matt Dixon | The Flint Journal..Sergeant Matthew Simpson conducts a vehicle search with his K-9 partner Kase, Wednesday, Jan. 26. Kase will be retired from duty on Sunday when the K-9 unit is discontinued at the Grand Blanc Township Police Department. Simpson has worked with Kase for almost nine years, and spends nearly his entire day with him. "I tell him things that I don't tell anyone" he says. After Kase is retired, he will remain with Simpson but will not being giong to work with him everyday.
