Members of the Matsiko Children's Choir, including Diego Mendoza, right, mingle with residents during their performance Friday afternoon at Riverside Lodge Retirement Community in Grand Island. The traveling choir consists of orphans, mostly from Liberia and Peru, and seeks to to increase awareness to the plight of orphaned and high risk children around the world while breaking the cycle of poverty through education. The choir was created by the International Children's Network, a non-profit whose main purpose is to provide access to education for orphans and high risk children and teens around the world.
