Charlie Exstrum competes in last Tuesday's cross country meet at Indian Head Golf Club. The teen, who will graduate from Senior High in May, suffered a brain hemorrhage when he was three days old. He nearly died and doctors told his parents not to expect him to ever walk or talk. Cross Country is now one of his favorite activities. (Independent/Matt Dixon)
