Documentary filmmaker John Sorensen and Ann coyne, with the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at University of Nebraska-Omaha address the audience before a showing of Sorensen's documentary film "The Quilted Conscience" Wednesday at The Grand Theatre. The film is about Sudanese-American refugees children and a quilt project that captures their dreams and memories while bringing them together with a quilter's guild of local white women and a famed African-American quilter. A showing open to the public will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. (Independent/Matt Dixon)
