Matt Dixon | The Flint Journal..Marion Callis of the Davison Historical Society gives a brief math lesson to second grade students from Siple Elementary in Davison during their visit to the Kitchen School in Davison Wednesday afternoon. Named after Silas Kitchen, an early homesteader of Davison, the Kitchen School is hosting a program for Davison elementary school students, providing a one-room school-house learning experience. The school was founded in 1847 and moved to this building, which has been restored to a 1940s state, sometime between 1867 and 1870.
